Feliz Año Nuevo de Miami

We are having so much fun here at the anchorage in Marine Stadium.  I drove down from Orlando in time for Christmas.  First order of business: laundry.   We had 12 loads of laundry to do and completely took over a local laundromat.

Now that we had clean sheets, towels and clothing to wear we were ready for Christmas. And of course, Santa had the GPS coordinates to bring gifts.

But the best thing about this anchorage— Kid boats!!! While I was at Winn Dixie Kim put out a swing for the kids to play on and other kids started showing up.

We ended up hosting the kids for New Years Eve while other parents went out to celebrate. We had 10 kids ages 9-15! One of the other moms cooked homemade pizzas and brought them over, with lots of snacks, sparklers, noisemakers, we had a blast!

Catch phrase was a hit with the bigger kids!!

We are having a ton of fun here, but the Miami Boat Show is being set up (Simply Sail section is held in this anchorage) and we have to be out by Jan 11th— so we will be heading south soon.
