Happy New Year

We made it to Guatemala just in time to celebrate New Year’s Eve with our friends from S/V Scholé, the Martin family. We had met them last year in Miami. We were so excited to get to see them again in Guatemala. The kids could not wait to start playing and hanging out together.

Tamara had bought some small fireworks for the kids to set off. Adi and Zoë from Rothim joined the group and we set off bottle rockets on the helipad.

Once again I was in bed by 10, but the kids and heartier adults stayed up until midnight, watching fireworks being set off from the local town as well as many of the surrounding marinas.

This year we are especially grateful for friendship. We have so many friends who we love dearly, who are praying for us and wish us well on our journey. To all our friends and family, whether with us in flesh or in spirit, Happy New Year. May this year be full of blessings, laughter, and friendship.

  1. Praying for sure!

  2. Loving you all. I hope you are merely hot and not sunburned, Amy. But, one glass of wine makes my face turn red like that.

  3. Wonder(struck)ful to see all your smiling faces. Happy New Year to all the Kelley’s!
